About the roleA brand-new role to be based from our Stratford-upon-Avon Head Office, this position is focussed on developing best practice for, and guiding the Deployment & Assurance team in the execution of the testing of Pricing Algorithms, supporting Pricing activity by ensuring the accurate deployment of rating algorithms to live production systems.
As a Deployment & Assurance Principal Testing Analyst, you will support the both the Deployment & Assurance Manager and Testing Consultant in creating and implementing pricing algorithm testing assurance standards to support deployment to the external rating engine. You will be a supportive and motivating mentor to other members of the team, ensuring work is reviewed and delivered on schedule. You will liaise with stakeholders from Underwriting and IT to ensure testing practices are considered and executed within all pricing change and represent the team in meetings to ensure due regard to paid to the Deployment & Assurance team requirements.
You will also be responsible for:

• Supporting the Deployment & Assurance Testing Consultant in controlling the quality of team output through adequate and proportional testing, to ensure testing is being conducted in a consistent manner, in line with defined standards, resulting in the absence of errors deployed to production systems
• Supporting the Deployment & Assurance Testing Consultant in the management of the team’s impact and presence in various project teams including planning, delivery, troubleshooting and post-delivery support, to ensure that testing practice is properly represented, considered and executed within all projects
• Supporting the delivery of the testing function by performing testing tasks where necessary, to ensure the timely delivery of deployments to productions systems
• Keeping up to date with industry trends and technology developments in order to contribute to the continuous improvement of the team’s processes and methodologies.

We understand how important a positive work-life balance is to you, so we offer great facilities when you want to be in an office environment, and support to work up to 80% of your hours from home.About youThe successful candidate will be a ISTQB Foundation Level Certified Tester (or equivalent) with at least 2 years’ experience in testing in Radar and/or any procedural language. You will have recent UK insurance industry experience, preferably within a pricing function and have proven ability to create and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders. Other desirable experience includes:

• Knowledge of software development and its technologies and methods.
• Software coding experience.
• Workflow management experience
• Basic SQL experience
• Good communication skills.
• Good time management skills
