The Camping and Caravanning Club is a prestigious name with over 120 years of history behind it. We are now looking to an exciting future with a long-term brand strategy in place driving a new and inspiring journey for us. To guide our brand forwards, we need a Creative Design Lead to grab hold of this incredible opportunity and take us to the big launch of our fresh direction in early 2024 – and beyond. This is an exciting new position which will need someone with experience, passion and creative flair to take on this hugely important piece of work for The Club and have overall responsibility for developing our brand both externally and internally. With a new Strategic Brand Framework and a transformative positioning in the market place set, it s now important that all our collateral is creative, compelling and consistent to reflect our brand whatever the media. You ll work hand in hand with the marketing team to ensure we have the very best briefs from the outset so that we can create strong, distinctive comms. We produce our work in-house and as the Creative Design Lead you ll work closely with our Studio Team using your creative skills, strategic abilities and robust knowledge of our new brand framework to guide them. This stimulating role will be varied and hands-on, creating high quality work and concepts yourself (working with copywriters as required) as well as overseeing our designers/artworkers to ensure quality across everything we produce. Developing campaigns executed through everything from advertising to literature, exhibition stands and multimedia, you ll drive the creative direction and delivery of the Studio s print and digital design team. In turn, this will shape the external perceptions of The Club through our marketing and collateral as well as drive consistent and professional internal comms. Underpinning all of this, you ll work closely with the Studio Team to prioritise and traffic work, oversee and sign off artwork, ensure that brand guidelines are workable and evolve as required and ensure that photographic assets are available – supervising shoots if required. So through every aspect of our marketing, you ll be the compass guiding our brand ahead. The Creative Design Lead will be asked to: Effectively communicate with marketing and business stakeholders, Studio Production and designers, and external contributors to develop creative ideas, designs, visuals and project work to deliver the highest creative standards for The Club s marketing requirements Articulate The Club s Vision, Purpose and Promise – as well as reflect the spirit of our Values – through internal and external collateral and media Act as a champion for The Club s brand guidelines, including our main, overarching brand, product brands and brand extensions Ensure brand guidelines are workable, fit for purpose and stay current Develop bold creative ideas and concepts that inspire and engage internal and external audiences and drive action Be the Studio lead on project and campaign concepts and creation and ensure brand guidelines are met in all content produced Shape project briefs to ensure they clearly articulate requirements, and lead on creative feedback and review sessions, including resolve conflicts, disputes and disagreements Collaborate with our Studio Production Manager and Multimedia Manager on workflow, housekeeping, file storage and retrieval We re looking for the following skills and experience: Degree (or equivalent) in Art and design, or significant experience in a similar role An impressive portfolio demonstrating a diverse range of print based and digital work Experience of designing from initial concept to final sign off production Managing design staff and scheduling work Comprehensive Adobe Creative Cloud skills particularly in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro & After Effects Compelling verbal and written communication skills together with excellent accuracy skills Knowledge and understanding of photography and photographic equipment The Camping and Caravanning Club is a fantastic place to work, with a supportive and dedicated team.
