Job role: Design and Technology Teacher – Full Time Temporary Position to start in September 2023 continue up to end of December with opportunity to continue on a temp to perm basis for the right candidate.

Pay: £150-200 per day depending on experience

About the role: Our Secondary School client is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Design and Technology Teacher to work for their thriving secondary school in Grimsby, NE Lincolnshire. The successful candidate will join their team on a full-time temporary basis with the opportunity to turn permanent.

The school are part of the presitgious Harbour Learning Trust.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching KS3 and KS4 students with varying abilities and will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young people.

Key Responsibilities:

• Planning, delivering and assessing engaging and challenging Design and Technology lessons for students of all abilities.
• Supporting students to develop their skills and knowledge in a range of Design and Technology subject areas.
• Working closely with colleagues to create and implement curriculum and assessment plans.
• Supporting students to achieve their full potential through differentiated teaching and support.
• Providing extra-curricular opportunities for students to develop their interests and skills in Design and Technology.

Requirements:

• A recognised teaching qualification such as QTS or PGCE.
• Experience teaching Design and Technology at KS3 and KS4 level.
• Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the curriculum.
• Ability to plan, deliver and assess engaging and challenging lessons.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• DBS on the update service (although this can be obtained via Reed)
