We have a fantastic opportunity for a Divisional Finance Manager to join our team within our Countryside Partnerships Home Counties Division at our Warley office in Brentwood. As our Divisional Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the production of weekly, monthly and annual management reports and Statutory Accounts. This is a front-end role liaising closely with other departments to ensure timely and accurate information is presented to the local Board and Division. This role involves direct line management of circa 6 members of staff.

• Experience of working in the construction sector
• Experience of COINS accounting system
• Knowledge of Anaplan
• Previous line management experience

More about the Divisional Finance Manager role

• Preparation of management accounts and supporting commentary on a monthly basis
• Overseeing the reporting of the Home Counties division consisting of multiple regions with both core ledgers and joint ventures
• Direct line management of staff
• Reconciling project gross profit to management accounts gross profit, verifying reconciling items
• Provide support to the Financial Controller in preparing the consolidated management accounts pack.
• Regional monthly balance sheet reconciliation review and approval
• Co-ordinating the monthly divisional balance sheet sign off
• Annual budget, monthly forecasting, and strategic plan
• Overseeing the monthly Joint Venture reporting both internally and to JV partners
• Taking part in the migration of finance systems – moving from Dynamics to COINS
• Ensuring integrity of data in Dynamics, COINS and Anaplan
• Consolidation of working day 1 flash and tracking the division versus actuals through the month end close cycle.
• Challenging management and identifying areas for investigation
• Improving systems and procedures
• Adhoc requests from Division and Group
• Preparation of schedules for statutory audit
• Work closely with internal and external audit
• Work closely with the Finance team to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, alignment of priorities and integrity of the accounting system.
• Work closely with the DFD and DMD in preparing ad-hoc management reports as required.
• Liaise with and help lead reporting initiatives with the Divisional Finance Director
• Maintain close ties with the regional commercial finance teams
• Consolidation of regional submissions for final divisional submission
