We are looking to ensemble a team for an exciting statement of work piece we are working on around DX Unified Infrastructure Management deployment. Although we do not have specific roles just yet we are looking to engage with contractors that have experience with some of the below.
Our client are looking to deploy their DX UIM manager for monitoring of server infrastructure for both Internal and External Managed Service Customers.
They are currently using SystemEDGE agent for monitoring of Linux and Windows systems.
In addition to running SystemEDGE, they also use centralized logfile monitoring, pings systems and monitors remote services (TCP port responses, HTTP(S), FTP, RADIUS, DNS) using in-house developed software
A combination of in-house developed software and Netcool is currently used for alarm collector and transport to downstream systems.
Our client intends to make use of the ELA licensing to deploy a DX UIM system with the intention to replace the in-house developments software as well as the Netcool functionality due to end of life OS and no Vendor support.
A Broadcom approved design needs to be created and implemented. The DX UIM setup will likely be running on a mixed environment of Windows and Linux.
Internal devices – Linux, Windows and UNIXservers, ESXi, Appliances, iLOs, storage and fibre Switches.
Managed customer devices – Linux, Windows Servers, Various Appliances, iLO, ESX.
The DX UIM setup is expected to be running on a mixed environment consisting of virtual hosts in a VMWare environment running Red Hat Enterprise Linux version 8 or 9 and Microsoft Windows 2019.
