Due to continued and future growth, a fantastic permanent opportunity within an award winning engineering organisation has arisen for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer, based in the Lutterworth area. Working within a dynamic and innovative design team, the successful candidate will be creating electrical & pneumatic designs associated with special purpose machinery. Key responsibilities of the role will include producing electrical designs and layouts that are compliant with and conform to, all relevant Codes of Practice, Company and Industry Standards, producing Electrical Parts Lists/Bill of Materials, for all electrical and pneumatic aspects of a project, providing technical support during the build, testing and commissioning project phases and providing support to the Sales team, by preparing technical information for quotations, generate design costings and assist in costing for production work. The successful candidate will possess proven experience of innovative and progressive electrical designs, with a comprehensive knowledge of diagnostics, test and repair of electronic/electrical, pneumatic and mechanical systems. You will have relevant vocational training or completion of a recognised apprenticeship in electrical and or mechanical discipline. Sound programming knowledge of PLC’s/HMI’s and knowledge of motion control systems is also required.
