Grissan is a renewable energy business, established to commercialise innovative Anaerobic Digestion (AD) technologies which have been developed to process organic wastes, residues and energy crops to create biogas. This biogas can then be used to generate low carbon electricity, displace natural gas or other fossil fuels in both heating and transport and aide the decarbonisation of agriculture through bio-fertiliser and compost products.

We are currently looking for an Engineering Design Leader to join our Engineering Projects Team the brief job scope for the role is set out below:

• Drive a proactive safety culture and ensure engineering design standards are to BATNEC standards.

• Ensure that engineering design standards are followed on all approved engineering projects.

• Support the Engineering Projects Leader to regularly review the resource plan to successfully execute each approved project.

• Ensure resource plans are in place and clear targets are set for design team in relation to achieving all aspects of design and full/ detailed equipment list/specifications for all projects and development initiatives.

• Ensure resource plan is in place and all agreed targets are met by the design team in relation to validation of all engineering projects.

• Ensure Design Packages compiled and issued to Project Engineers in line with agreed Project Schedule.

• Complete and regularly review development and training plans for your direct reports to ensure they are up to date on all legal compliance and appropriate skill set,

• Ensure resource plan is in place and achieve all agreed targets are met by the design team in relation to validation of all engineering projects.

• Responsible with your team in ensuring that the engineering files and library are up to date at all times.

Qualifications:

Essential:

• Degree in Engineering Design/Mechanical Engineering/Chemical Engineering or similar
• A Level/ Baccalaureate /Scottish Highers – including Maths; CAD/Design, Chemistry; Biology.

Desirable:

• Masters in a relevant Engineering Science.
