Job Title: Engineering Lecturer

Pay: £22.41 – £25.00 per hour

About the role

REED Further Education are recruiting experienced Engineering Lecturers of any field to teach Further Education students based in Yorkshire on a full time or part time, temporary basis.

Your duties as an Engineering Lecturer with REED Further Education:

• To teach across a range of programmes in Engineering and associated areas
• To develop the curriculum in Engineering and associated areas.
• To deliver high quality teaching and learning by providing students with a planned learning and assessment experience, effectively manage and monitor the learning experience, provide timely and constructive feedback and guide/support learners to achieve their learning goals.
• To produce lesson plans, appropriate to groups and individuals.
• To contribute to the continual quality improvement mechanisms and keep accurate records of learners ILPs, progress and performance.

The successful Engineering Lecturer will have the following skills and qualifications:

• UK recognised teaching qualification, preferably a PGCE or Cert Ed.
• Minimum of a Level 3 qualification in an Engineering-related specialism.
• Experience of teaching and supporting 16-18-year-olds in an education environment or similar setting.
• Knowledge of your construction curriculum.
• Level 2 or equivalent qualification in maths and English.
• DBS registered to the update service or the willingness to get one.
