We are currently seeking a Senior Engineer Manager working directly under our CTO in our offices in London, Hackney. This role sits in the Tech Team, and you will report directly to the CTO. We’re a growing start-up with plenty of room for progression and making the role your own. Occasionally, and in line with your strengths and interests, you may be asked to work outside your job description. What you will be doing: This role will sit at the core of our organisation and will act as a point of contact for our tech team as well as being a bridge between our tech team, operations team and product team. We would like this person to be present in the office for at least 2-3 days/week and help us in our quest to build a resilient flexible culture while helping us achieve our very ambitious goals. You will be working closely with our Leadership Team, and focus on the following: Line manage 6 software engineers between in-office and wfh Act as Scrum Master Coordinate with ops, sales and other teams to unblock progress Improve engineering processes and spread best practices in the team Provide technical expertise to the team and help them resolve issues quickly and efficiently Provide guidance and grow teams and individuals Hire and retain our amazing and motivated teamOur tech stack: Python NumPy OpenCV PyTorchRequirements At least 2-3 years experience in managing a busy agile team in a changing environment (remote / hybrid teams experience is super valuable!) 5+ years experience in software development i.e. full stack, data, AI Analytical skills: you can digest complex information and solve problems Organisational skills: you are a structured thinker that can see all the plates spinning A great communicator that will add to our culture A proven leader that is able to motivate and guide thoughtfully High EQ Experience in software architecture is desirableBenefits Salary up to £88k depending on experience Share Options Flexible working Paid lunches and stacks of snacks at the office!
