BASIC SALARY: Up to £55,000

JOB DESCRIPTION: Engineering Manager, Senior Engineer, Engineering Supervisor – Automotive, Aerospace, Robotics, Specialist Machinery, Special Purpose Machinery

As an experienced Engineering Manager / Senior Engineer you’ll utilise your people leadership skills to play a major part in the ongoing modernisation of every aspect of our bespoke manufacturing environment.

You will: Manage and upskill our existing production team, of 5 people currently, taking responsibility for their technical development as well as team growth. Be responsible for new product introduction and overseeing all major projects Drive continuous improvement across all aspects of R&D, manufacturing processes and product delivery. Have accountability for the Design for Manufacture and design & build of manufacturing tools.You’ll also be deeply involved in a variety of special projects, including the complete review and refresh of our entire product portfolio to make sure it is fit for purpose as we move into the next phase of our company growth.

An exciting part of the role will also give you the opportunity to meet with our global clients around the world, so about 4 times a year you’ll be overseas evaluating and scoping new projects.

PERSON SPECIFICATION: Engineering Manager, Senior Engineer, Engineering Supervisor – Automotive, Aerospace, Robotics, Specialist Machinery, Special Purpose Machinery

You MUST be an experienced Engineering Manager or Senior Engineer with a proven track record of managing teams of 5 or more engineers.

In addition you’ll: Have a strong Mechanical Engineering background, ideally with experience of Solidworks CAD/ CAM software Understand and can apply your knowledge of modern manufacturing methods – CNC/CAM, additive, laser processing, robotics, special purpose machines and design for automated manufacture Can demonstrate your ability to interrogate designs, build best practice around costs/ efficiencies / continuous improvements Have a track record of running production activities – FMEA, concept & design reviews, new product introduction, risk registers, etc. Enjoy being hands-on when necessary Build credibility quickly Exude high attention to detail

If you have any experience from the aerospace, automotive, robotics or special purpose machinery sectors it would be ideal, but ultimately if you’re motivated by taking on a brand new role, getting stuck into EVERY aspect of our Manufacturing / Engineering facility and becoming an integral part of our ongoing success story, then this is the role for you.
