We are partnering with a well-established construction company specializing in brickwork services to find a skilled and experienced Estimator to join their team.

As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate cost estimation and budgeting for these projects.

Position Overview – Estimator

• Analyse project specifications, architectural drawings, and relevant documentation to accurately estimate the cost of brickwork for construction projects.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and clients to understand project requirements and develop detailed and competitive project estimates.
• Conduct site visits and assessments to gather necessary information for accurate cost estimation.
• Prepare and present detailed project estimates, including materials, labour, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Conduct thorough cost analysis, considering factors such as material prices, labour productivity, equipment utilization, and overhead expenses.
• Collaborate with the project management team to review estimates, identify potential risks, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Participate in pre-construction meetings, providing insights and expertise related to cost estimation.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of a comprehensive cost database to support accurate estimating for future projects.
• Monitor and track project costs throughout the construction process, providing regular updates and cost forecasting.
• Collaborate with the procurement team to source and evaluate suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing and timely delivery of materials.
• Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and other external stakeholders to support efficient project estimation and execution.

Position Requirements – Estimator

• Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, with a focus on brickwork.
• In-depth knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards related to brickwork.
• Detail-oriented mindset, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in estimating.
• Proficient in using estimating software and tools to develop accurate project estimates.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising the quality of estimates.
