Job Overview: We are seeking a highly organised and dynamic Events Specialist to join our clients robust team. This position involves planning, coordinating, and executing a wide range of events, both live and remote. The ideal candidate will possess excellent project management skills, a keen eye for detail, and a creative mindset to deliver exceptional event experiences for our clients.

Responsibilities:

1. Event Planning:

   • Develop event concepts and themes that align with the clients objectives and target audience.
   • Collaborate with stakeholders to define event goals, objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
   • Conduct thorough research to identify suitable venues, vendors, and suppliers.
   • Create detailed event timelines, budgets, and resource plans.

2. Event Coordination and Execution:

   • Manage all logistical aspects of events, including venue selection, audiovisual requirements, catering, and transportation.
   • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth event execution.
   • Oversee event registration, attendee management, and communication processes.
   • Provide on-site support during live events, ensuring all elements run seamlessly.

3. Remote Event Management:

   • Utilise virtual event platforms to plan, manage, and execute remote events, such as webinars, virtual conferences, and online workshops.
   • Coordinate technical aspects, including audio and video setup, livestreaming, and interactive features.
   • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide support to remote attendees.

4. Content Development:

   • Collaborate with content creators, speakers, and presenters to develop engaging event content.
   • Assist in the creation of event materials, including presentations, scripts, and handouts.
   • Ensure event content is relevant, compelling, and aligned with the overall event objectives.

5. Evaluation and Reporting:

   • Collect and analyse post-event feedback and metrics to assess event success.
   • Prepare comprehensive event reports, including attendance, engagement, and return on investment (ROI).
   • Identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for future events.

Qualifications:

• 2:1 or above Bachelor’s degree in event management, hospitality, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience in planning and executing both live and remote events.
• Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
• Creative mindset and the ability to think outside the box to create unique event experiences.
• Proficiency in using virtual event platforms and familiarity with livestreaming technologies.
• Detail-oriented with exceptional organisational skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing event requirements.
• Proficient in using event management software and tools.
