My client is a global design and consultancy company working within the building envelope sector. They are looking to find 2 Façade designers, 1 more senior than the other, that can fit in with fast paced and well structured office based in London. This is a company with strong employee relationships, and good staff retention levels. They are over 10 years old and have offices based around the globe working on major projects and landmarks in the biggest cities.

Roles and Responsibilities – Façade Designer

• Produce details of façade systems based on architectural sketches.
• Compliance training
• Taking part in development of themselves and others
• Design workshops
• Look to improve efficiencies across the business.
• Keep interested in other disciplines to develop skills.
• Preparation of technical specs
• Helping project management teams
• Assisting management team with tenders
• Assuring quality
• Thorough analysis
• Good time management
• Managing performance
• Strong communication
• Collaborative working and working on relationships with external clients and teams.

Ideal Candidates – Façade Designer

The ideal candidate for this position will have most of the below traits and skills:

• 3D and 2D drafting using AutoCAD (essential), Rhino, Solidworks and Sketchup Pro
• 2+ years in design
• Engineering related Degree (Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Architectural)
• Geometrical Analysis knowledge
• Experience fabricating drawing packages.
• Experience with BIM software
