The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Administrator to join our payments team in our Edinburgh office. In this role, you will be responsible for investigating and clearing outstanding items from the financial reconciliations and suspense reports. You will also have the opportunity to manage large accounts, ensuring they are not compromised.

You’ll be:

• Supporting monthly ledger close (“month end”) activities
• Meeting daily deadlines
• Identifying any exceptions within the financial reports and investigating within required timescales.
• Monitoring the reconciliations and suspense reports and taking actions to resolve any outstanding items
• Working closely with other teams to ensure reconciliation processes and financial controls are not compromised
• Contributing to the team’s overall efficiency by identifying and recommending changes to the way the team operates

You should apply if you:

• You possess advanced Excel skills
• Are proactive in developing your skill set
• Can work autonomously
• Are able to self-manage, work effectively under pressure and manage to tight deadlines
• Know SQL – desirable
• Have an accounting background within a Financial Services company – desirable
