Based in Redditch, you will be joining an growing manufacturing business in a newly created role.
Description
Utilisation and interpretation of data to support the different areas of the business to improve profitability, including:
Labour performance and effectiveness
Monitoring and working with BU leaders to understand key spend areas including consumables, maintenance and H&S etc
Undertake reviews of Standard to Actual product profitability
Review and monitor Financial standards – routing times and resource costs
New Product monitoring and comparison to bid estimates
Identification of areas to aid and improve working capital and cashflow management including;
Report on Capex investment effectiveness and returns
Support and assess Capex proposals of the business
Review and monitoring of stock levels and identification of opportunities to reduce inventory
Monitoring of expected material receipts vs actual and rationale for variations
Slow Moving WIP Review and monthly reporting, including summary reviews for sharing with the Exec.
Management of annual Stock take and oversight of rolling PI counts
Working with the business to report and ensure all product is shipped in a timely basis and any deviations are understood and highlighted
Reviewing Aged Receivables with the Credit Controller to establish expected receipts
Accounts Payable
Active monitoring of GRNI / V1 invoice register to ensure aging reduced / kept to a minimum
Working with Accounts Payable Clerk to ensure business process followed and any problem items are resolved in a timely manner
Monitoring and projecting expected cash outflows of non-material suppliers
Reporting
Daily/Weekly
Timely and accurate issuance of daily reports
Provide / issue summary report on findings across areas of responsibility
Month end
Support the Finance Manager in initial completion of draft finances for review by the Finance Controller
Provide support, in conjunction with the Finance Manager and Finance Controller, to the business to understand the monthly finance pack
Profile
ACCA/ACA/CIMA Qualified or equivalent
A strong management accountant or existing finance business partner background, keen on implementing change throughout the organisation. You will be an outgoing and engaging individual, comfortable on building rapport and relationships across all levels of the business.
High attention to detail and strong analytical skills, whilst maintaining the ability to work under pressure on your own initiative, as part of a small team.
