Role Objective & Job Impact:

• To act as a provider of financial information within the Finance function and to relevant Business Functions and stakeholders
• To act as a Business Partner for Capital Expenditure Projects
• Responsible for delivering relevant FACT team and business priorities using finance knowledge and experience
• Is a provider of finance knowledge to non-finance colleagues
• Supports the accuracy of legal entity balance sheets and P&L accounts
• Active member of the wider Finance & Controlling team to share knowledge and best practice as appropriate

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for ensuring an accurate month end closing for areas within remit including month end postings, repostings, detailed financial analysis and Balance Sheet Reconciliations
• Support the maintenance and accuracy of the relevant sections of the balance sheet and income statement on an ongoing basis
• Support the monthly and quarterly review of financial statements across three legal entities
• Responsible for Financial Accounting processes regarding Fixed Assets and Capital Expenditure inline with SSC procedures
• Regular Business Partnering with Project Managers and regional SSC to ensure accurate CapEx reporting and appropriate forecasting
• Responsible for accurate and timely data entry into financial reporting systems for all corporate requirements including Actuals and Planning
• Provide timely, reliable and relevant financial information to the finance and business stakeholders both locally and at a corporate level as required
• Support the long term cash flow forecasting processes through the provision of accurate cash flow analysis and reviewing forecasting assumptions
• Ensure financial reporting and advice is compliant with financial processes and internal and external accounting guidelines and SOPs
• Provide support and cover within the FACT team including supporting members of the team in their professional development

Skills/Experience Required:

• Educated to Degree Level
• Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) with relevant finance experience
• Ability to demonstrate the application of knowledge concerning financial and management accounting within BI
• Financial Accounting experience including CapEx accounting and forecasting
• Accounting systems knowledge and experience eg SAP, intermediate or advanced MS Office applications experience
• Using SAP ERP to maintain and develop detailed Excel and Powerpoint files to support business and finance deliverables
• Follow all company procedures and processes with respect to Finance
• Work within German and UK Generally Accepted Accounting Practice (GAAP)
• Enjoys working as part of a team as well as on own initiative, works with a pro-active mindset
• Strong demonstration of written and verbal business English language skills
• Stakeholder management
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail is essential
• Effective prioritisation and communication are essential
