Financial Controller

Edward Mann are recruiting on behalf of a leading Private Healthcare Group. Our client is looking for a Financial Controller to join a key business division based in the Birmingham area.

This position will manage a small team and take the lead on reporting and compliance, providing efficient financial support to the Senior Management Team and key stakeholders across the business, enhancing financial integrity and optimising performance.

Responsibilities include:

• Effectively lead and develop a small finance team.
• Responsible for financial reporting, assistance with cost report preparation, oversight on internal controls for general accounting and compliance reporting.
• Oversee month-end close process.
• Prepare and present variance explanation.
• Prepare budget and coordinate process.
• Assist management in the preparation and completion of financial reports, statistical information, surveys, projections, special projects and analyses of financial statements.
• Work directly with operations management in analysing product line profitability, ROI for new technology, operations and strategic planning, and assisting in developing capital business cases.
• The post-holder is required to establish effective working relationships with all constituencies, including patients, physicians, employees, volunteers and vendors.

Candidate spec:

• Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent)
• Previous management experience of 1+ people
