We are recruiting for this key role to support the Senior Teams in providing the commercial stewardship of the business, delivering profit & sales growth. This role will offer significant exposure to the operational function across contract catering in the B&I Scotland division and is an opportunity to influence at all levels of the business. The prime objective of the role is to provide commercial analysis and insight, financial reporting and forecasting, client billings, and to influence and challenge business decisions in order to maximise business profit. As the Financial Controller you will be responsible for: Key Operational Accountabilities Business partnering with the on-site operations team Consistent weekly reporting of sales, gross profit, labour, and overheads for each contract Insights on high/low margin products & recommendations to improve profitability Client billing Assess overall finance compliance (cash control, till readings vs. insight, etc) and provide recommendations for improvements Provide decision support to initiatives and projects supporting delivery of targets through insightful analysis and idea generation Providing interpretation and challenge to current & future trading plans Prepare the financial planning and budgeting process within timescales Support colleagues across the business in developing financial awareness Client reports prepared with monthly financial performance Travel required to sites to support the Operations teamKey Working Relationships Onsite operations team Onsite finance managers Senior operations and group manager for stadia business The role is hybrid which will involve working from the office, home, and field as this opportunity covers sites across Scotland in the Glasgow, Edinburgh, and Aberdeen areas.
