Reed Finance are pleased to announce a Senior Finance position is available for a reputable and established SME in the north Essex area. Following a period of growth, the business is now in a position to bring in a new senior finance leader to review controls, processes and operations with a view to increase revenue and profitability.

In addition, while partnering with the MD and senior management, the Financial Controller will lead and head up the finance operation ensuring all relevant reporting, commercial and operational maters are managed, assessed and upheld.

A few key responsibilities include:

Prepare financial statements with commentaries drawn up to Management for review and decision making.Monitor budgetary controlManage ledgers teamStaff management (reviews/development/training)Interpret and communicate financial data to non-financial managers.Preparation of VAT ReturnsPreparation of Management AccountsEnhance management information reporting – provide business management pack

A few requirements in order to be considered:

Fully qualified or qualified by experience

Relevant senior finance experience preferably within an SME environment

Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written

Ideally previous experience with developing or reviewing a finance function
