Financial Controller, Media, 9 month maternity cover

Altum Consulting are currently recruiting for a Group Financial Controller to join a thriving media business in central London. This role is for a 9-month maternity contract and applying candidates are required to be able to start in August (sooner if appropriate)

Reporting directly to the Group Finance Director this is a key hire into the team to lead and motivate the existing Group Finance team.

Role:

• Lead and develop a capable Group Finance Team (4 direct reports)
• Oversight for the year end group Audit
• Oversight for quarterly consolidations and various other group functions
• Partner closely with Local Controllership, FP&A and Operations teams to provide support on joint projects
• Support FD/CFO on project work

You’ll be/have:

• A Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 2+ year’s experience in a similar FC role
• Strong technical knowledge (IFRS, UK GAAP US GAAP advantageous)
• A capable leader to support and guide the existing team
• Comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders
• Experience (audit or other) across tech/media (advantageous)
• Available to start in August
