JBT currently has a great opportunity for a Finance Director to join the Proseal team just south of Manchester. Your role as Finance Director works directly with our Group Finance Director of the Packaging Group in supporting the business with financial analysis, consolidations, cost analysis, planning and reporting needs of the Packaging Group of companies. You must be self-driven and be able to work with all levels of our organisation. The position is a hands-on Director role overseeing multiple manufacturing sites and business units; experience working within a USA organisation previously would be an advantage. We have a complex set-up with our main business split up across 3 countries and then a smaller business in the UK. Your role will be to review processes and provide recommendations for improvement; working with your team you will prepare various operations financial and trend analysis to support decision making and provide recommendations for business performance improvements. A day in the life of our Finance Director Manage closing of accounting books, ensuring that financial statements and financial information is prepared in an accurate and timely manner, maintaining financial reports used for reporting monthly data such as KPI Targets. You will ensure organization compliance with in areas including purchasing, manufacturing, fabrication and field operations and compliance with statutory reporting bodies. Support your two team leads in their functions as Business Controller and Management Accountant. Perform accounting functions in support of financial reporting cycle by analysing and compiling information and reports. Lead, coordinate and consolidate budgets for the Packaging Group (Proseal and AutoCoding sub-groups). Provide accurate and timely management reports. Lead and direct the activities of the finance and administrative team; ensuring the team are trained and motivated to carry out their duties safely and effectively to meet business objectives. Reconcile/analyse complex account across our sites. Communicate with internal and external auditors. Provide others with problem resolution and technical guidance on more complex financial issues. Drive and support various process improvement and profitability initiative; including future ERP system upgrades and improvements We would like someone with strong organisational skills with a proven team-building track record. For you to like problem solving, and to be quality and detail oriented with project management and process improvement experience. We would prefer you to have a Professional Accounting Qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) and experienced as a Senior Financial Professional with at least 5 years of solid. A high level of communication skills is required to interact with all levels of management, to lead teams and to direct the work of others. As we work within an innovative setting, we are always looking to develop our management tools, models, systems, and processes so experience of implementation and enhancing of Accounting systems would be a benefit in this role (we currently use Sage 200 and there is a potential for migration to Group ERP within 2-3 years).
