One of our brilliant clients are currently looking for an experienced Fire Damper Engineer. They are a family run company who specialise in Air Hygiene & Fire Safety services and have been serving facilities maintenance, property maintenance and catering industries for over 40 years.
Due to a continued growth they are now seeking an experienced fire damper engineer to join their award winning team in the West Midlands.
If you are an experienced and enthusiastic fire damper engineer who is flexible and happy getting hand on with their work, then this could be the career move for you.
Fire Damper Engineer Key tasks & Duties:
Fault finding and reporting any fire/smoke damper issues.
Installing and replacing all types of fire and smoke dampers.
Fire & Smoke Damper maintenance, repairs, and services in accordance with BS:9999 & RRFSO 2005
Careful removal of ceiling tiles and access panels to access the dampers.
Documenting and recording all work and locations of work completed.
Fire escape, fire door and emergency lighting testing and servicing.
Fire Damper Engineer Skills & Qualifications:
NVQ level 2 in fire stopping or working towards one.
You will need to be flexible with working hours.
You must have some experience in a similar role.
Must be willing to travel and have a full UK driving licence.
You must be happy working in confined spaces and at height.
The successful candidate will be rewarded with a competitive industry salary depending on experience, a company benefits package including a vehicle, fuel card, phone, PPE, and all tools. Experience is preferred but training can be given along with certificates in, PASMA, IPAF, Fire Damper Course, First Aid and CSCS if required.
