Fire Service Trainers – we are seeking various levels as below

Permanent roles

Monday to Friday – upto 40 hours per week

Based in the countryside near Gloucester, however, do not need to reside in the location, as for this role you can also reside anywhere in the UK and then stay free of charge in paid for accommodation if you are more than an hour travel each way, but can go home on a Thursday evening or Friday morning and return on a Sunday, so able to go and visit family etc or can stay in the accommodation all week, including some weekends, can stay 2 weekends every month

Free use of the gym, swimming pool, tennis courts etc, subsidised meals, restaurant/bar

Some days can be working from home to deal with remote learners, paperwork and then coming into the centre for classroom delivery If you do not wish to travel in on those days

Job role:-

The great news is you do not have to already be a Trainer, can be a Firefighter, who would not like to now train students (more details below)

Seeking trainers for new recruits who are on an 8-week breathing apparatus course and rescue – online and some days in person observing

Senior Fire Service Trainer – seeking more experience to deliver in classroom with more students and who have gone past the initial 8-week course

Lead Instructor – Co-Ordinate high end training for the Fire Service, Royal Navy and Army clients, dealing with new clients and delivery training

The roles are to teach a range of defence courses, including breathing apparatus – this is the main one, so much be either a Firefighter who has trained staff/new starters on breathing apparatus one to one or in groups or FTBI, TVI, RTI, BAP

For all these roles, you must have an internal qualification just with the Fire Service (not rubber stamped) or can be an experienced Instructor/Trainer already in breathing apparatus

The courses are already put together but given the details and a timetable of what to deliver – then you put your own mark on the delivery.

Completing necessary paperwork

The more senior roles, Occasional travel to outside sites, to stay away for a week for the Military, Royal Air Force, Royal Navy sites – all accommodation and expenses paid for, to teach on site.

They will put you though either TAQA, PTTLS or BTEC to achieve in 6 months if you do not already have one of these qualifications
