The role will involve – Excellent opportunity to join the company in a site based day role. Working in a range of areas within the technical department, giving exposure to all aspects of technical, NPD and QA within the food industry in this diverse role. Main Responsibilities – Administration for the development of new products using the stage-gate process Creation of critical paths Maintenance of a clear record of recipe progression, kitchen trials, and evaluations of development projects Organisation and scheduling of taste panels including monthly shelf life panels. Benchmarking of development projects against competitor products in the market place. Maintaining an awareness of competitive products in the market and consideration of new product ideas Test bakes for on pack recipes to determine on pack methodology, verify accuracy and to check quality of products. Preparation of detailed visual quality standards for all new products Writing customer specifications Administration of retail specifications and portals Creation of technical documents Internal auditing of the Quality system and site hygiene Helping with existing and new product plans Day to day food quality assessments Personal Attributes & Experience – Sound educational background, ideally educated to degree level. Interest in food ,cooking & baking. Knowledge of factory production processes. Quality assurance/NPD background. Computer literate. Strong administration skills Ability to communicate with colleagues at all levels of the business Ability to work independently as well as being part of the technical team Methodical and logical approach with attention to detail What we offer: Opportunity to work in pioneering family owned business with loved brands that make a difference.
