The Role: As a Food Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Food Technology department and facilitating engaging practical sessions for our students. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting teachers in the preparation and setup of practical cooking lessons, ensuring all ingredients and equipment are readily available.
• Supporting students during practical sessions, providing guidance on food hygiene, safety, and cooking techniques.
• Maintaining and organizing the food technology room and associated resources to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
• Assisting with the inventory management of food ingredients, kitchen supplies, and equipment.
• Collaborating with the Food Technology team to develop and improve teaching resources and activities.
• Assisting in the planning and execution of food-related events, such as cooking competitions or food fairs.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working as a Food Technician or in a similar role is preferred.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safety regulations.
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment and cooking techniques.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
