French Speaking Credit Controller

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled French Speaking Credit Controller to join our dynamic finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual fluent in French with experience in credit control to join a leading organization in the heart of Gloucester. Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain the credit control function for the French market, ensuring timely and efficient collection of outstanding debts.
Proactively contact customers in French via phone and email to chase overdue payments and resolve any payment queries.
Build strong relationships with customers to enhance the credit control process and maintain positive customer experiences.
Perform credit checks on new and existing customers, assessing credit worthiness and setting appropriate credit limits.
Collaborate with the sales team to minimize risk and resolve any issues impacting payment collection.
Ensure accurate and up-to-date records are maintained, documenting all communication and actions taken.
Prepare and present reports on debt collection activities and provide regular updates to the finance team.

Requirements:

Fluency in French
Experience in SAP advantageous
Proven experience in credit control or a related finance role, with a strong understanding of credit control processes and best practices.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with customers and internal teams.
Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills to effectively resolve payment disputes and queries.
Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in managing financial records and data.
Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
