Gas Coordinator

Our client, a leading independent Oil & Gas operator, are currently seeking a dynamic Gas coordinator to join their Operations Team in Bacton.

This is a full time, 12 month contract, working a shift pattern of 1 week on / 1 week off. Due to the requirement to support the company’s 24-hour operational sites, you will work a mixture of day and night shifts.

This is a core operational position, forming part of the Hydrocarbon Accounting Group, where you will be responsible for co-ordination of production from each of the fields operated by our client.

This is a continuously evolving role, which is integral to developing new business projects, as well as optimisation of the existing production portfolio.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Form the key interface between management, operations, commercial and project groups. Point of contact into the business for partners, operators, marketing, and regulatory bodies.
• Opportunity to measurably improve the company’s performance in the Southern North Sea.
• Make critical on the spot business decisions.
• Optimise production from our Southern North Sea portfolio to match market forces and our partner’s requirements.
• Internal, Partner and Regulatory reporting of production.
• Initial training period will require some time based at our Gas Terminal near Hull.

Qualification/Skills Required:

• Degree qualified in Maths, Engineering, Physics or Business Studies although suitable experience may also be acceptable.
• Excellent computer literacy with attention to detail and an aptitude to problem solving.
• Knowledge of gas processing, transmission systems and delivery is a distinct advantage
• although full training on Gas-Coordination will be provided.
• The position acts as the day-to-day single point of contact for the assets, therefore excellent communication skills are crucial as you will liaise with 3rd party owners, buyers, operations, and commercial teams.
