Your New Role
Take responsibility for all Combined Science GCSE results, with a focus on continued improvement of grades.
Liaise closely with the Heads of Biology, Chemistry and Physics on the design, sequencing, delivery, and assessment of Combined Science GCSE schemes of work in the Fourth and Fifth Forms such that they enable pupils studying Combined Science to consistently maximise their exam outcomes.
Design and manage tracking systems to identify and monitor pupils in the Fourth and Fifth Forms who are selected to transition to Combined Science, working with the Director of Science to set and staff Combined Science sets appropriately.
Write a formal exam report after GCSE results in August to provide a detailed commentary about the Combined Science results for the Headmaster and the Deputy Head Academic, to also be presented in person.
