The Role
Windsor Academy Trust (WAT) is seeking to appoint an inspiring and visionary Head of Digital Transformation and IT, to strategically lead and manage the Digital Technology and IT infrastructure function across our trust.
Digital Technology is helping to enable our trust strategy and is a key driver of the sustainable practices we operate across our family of schools. Our 1:1 device programme positions us as a sector leader and offers students the ability to learn through cutting edge digital technology.
We are looking for a pioneering, confident and experienced individual to develop and embed the Digital Technology strategy for WAT. The role will require the successful candidate to lead on embedding best practice, implementing trust-wide standardised infrastructure, cyber secure systems, processes and procedures. They will also drive robust quality assurance arrangements to ensure effective and reliable infrastructure as well as compliance in all areas. Working with the Director of Operations, the post holder will lead and manage the IT team, Digital Technology infrastructure (including 1:1 devices), IT infrastructure, systems, security and service delivery.
The successful candidate will need to be highly motivated, organised and committed. They will be able to lead from the front, embodying the WAT culture, whilst prioritising workloads. They will have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work through challenging volumes of project work with a high level of accuracy.
