Head of Financial Accounting (flexible hybrid working)

My client is a world leading performing arts organisation with a rich history. They have enjoyed significant growth over the past year and have recovered their financial position to pre-pandemic levels, via a large change programme to drive commercialisation. We are searching for a passionate and driven Head of Financial Accounts lead the financial accounting function during this exciting time.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring an effective and smooth running of the central finance function, including all statutory reporting and compliance requirements
• Driving forward improvements in tandem with business transformation projects, to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of business, processes, systems and financial controls
• Acting as the lead contact with HMRC and ensuring compliance with the relevant tax authorities
• Deputising for the Director of Finance ad hoc
• Managing a medium sized team

The successful candidate will be fully CCAB qualified and have experience of managing a central finance function in a fast moving business. You will have experience in managing VAT, Corporation and PAYE tax. We are looking for someone with high levels of emotional intelligence, able to motivate and lead a team through change, as well as build relationships and influence key stakeholders across the organisation. Experience of the charity sector would be beneficial, however we will consider exceptional candidates from the commercial or wider Public Sector.
