Head of Security – CISO

An industry leading FinTech start-up, are looking for a Head of Security to establish the Information Security function from the ground up, as well as building the team around them.

As the Head of Information Security, you will have a substantial effect on how the organization is run, as this is the first security hire within the business, so you will be implementing everything from scratch including strategies, methodologies, security controls, policies, procedures and standards to mitigate risk to their growing platform and teams. Our client is looking to grow significantly in 2023, so this is a key strategic hire, which requires a Head of InfoSec who brings the vision and strategy in place, which will enable them to scale securely and effectively with the right security practices in place, whilst keeping one eye on the regulatory landscape, as it evolves.

The ideal candidate should bring experience with most of the following:

• Cloud Security (ideally AWS)
• SOC1, SOC2 experience
• Application Security
• Managing and building teams
• Working with development teams
• ISO27001, PCI-DSS, GDPR, OWASP
• API security
• Start-up environments
• Information Security related education or accreditations

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced security professional to lay the foundations of world-class security practices within a high growth FinTech business, whilst working side by side with the CTO and senior leadership team.
