We are looking for a Head of Workbased learning. The work based learning team has steadily grown apprentice provision at levels 2 and 3 over subject areas including construction, hairdressing, bakery, dental, engineering, automotive, business, health and early years. The college works regionally with a range of employers from SMEs to large multi nationals. The work based learning team has a business development / sales team within it. The college has a strategy to grow this important area of work. Here s the standard bit: You will lead a very strong team of professional skills coaches across a variety of provisions within our workbased learning department. You will develop and implement policies and procedures that support the quality improvement of the area, you will inspirationally lead members of your team to deliver appropriate and engaging resources ensuring the sharing of good practice wherever possible. You will also develop links with employers and professionals with the focus of participating in new initiatives, increasing skills development and work experience opportunities for all apprentices. What you ll need: Enthusiasm, resilience and a highly motivated approach to workbased learning with recent successful track record experience of delivering apprenticeships in a further education college or private training provider (to targets and key performance indicators) coupled with managing apprenticeship programmes including end point assessment and quality assurance models and leading successful partnership working with learners, employers and other internal and external stakeholders.
