We currently have an opportunity available for a Team Leader to join our IBA Function in Glasgow.

Our Insurance Broker Accounting (IBA) function provides core transactional finance services to our UK Brokerage business and consists of a team of 200 in Glasgow.

As an IBA Team Leader, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a transactional finance team. Working closely with the team to ensure all key financial targets are delivered within agreed timelines.

Your Role:

• Working with our IBA Finance Managers to support the day to day management of the function
• Monitor KPI’s/SLA’s as agreed by the business and provide support to the team meet these performance requirements
• Perform regular monthly 1:1’s with the team members and annual appraisal
• Provide support to team members with query resolution and attend business performance review meetings
• Act as point of escalation within the team and wider IBA function
• Act as an approver for payment requests, ensuring all payment request packages meet Gallagher’s financial control standards
• Train and develop team members to provide them with relevant skills to undertake their assigned tasks and to allow them to develop professionally
• Review reporting of financial data, perform root cause analysis of any issues and liaise internally with the business where necessary
• Work in collaboration with other IBA teams and our wider finance function to ensure we are operating within policies & procedures, and any external regulations
• Support both internal and external audit requests within required deadlines

Your Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

• Educated to degree level preferable but not essential
• Previous experience of managing a team within transactional finance is essential
• An excellent understanding of Microsoft packages, particularly Excel
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritise work and plan ahead
• Ability to work to deadlines and multi task
• Takes initiative has a ‘can do’ attitude
• Eligible to work in the UK
