The Role: This is a hybrid role located two days per week at our Nuneaton Head Office (CV10 7RH).We are seeking an experienced Indirect Tax Manager to join our team and take responsibility for managing our VAT and Excise tax compliance for the UK and overseas ;Key Responsibilities.

• The preparation and submission of UK and overseas VAT returns on a timely basis.
• Reconciliation of the VAT accounts.
• Filing proper Intrastat and other VAT statistical returns on a timely basis for the UK and EU entities
• Process owner for VAT processes across the group, ensuring appropriate financial controls are in place
• Understanding future indirect tax landscape to ensure the business is prepared for any forthcoming statutory changes.
• Dealing with day-to-day VAT queries from the business and carrying out in-house VAT audits
• Oversight of product VAT liability
• Managing VAT audits and enquiries in the UK and overseas
• Oversight of other indirect taxes including Excise, Customs Duty and Plastic Packaging Tax.

The Person: To be considered for this role you will be:

• CTA Qualified or Qualified Accountant
• Extensive knowledge of Indirect taxes.
• Strong track record in VAT.
• Proactive, motivated and solution focussed.
• Strong organisation skills and the ability to prioritise.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Excellent IT skills
