I am working with a leading, global business in the entertainment sector who are going through an exceptional period of growth. Due to their increased scale and amount of live events organised each year, they are now seeking an International Tax and Compliance specialist to join the team.
Responsibilities
You will support the CFO by managing the compliance requirements in various jurisdictions for live events hosted from a financial / tax / licencing perspective. You will understand various countries reporting obligations with tax authority’s, local policies and how to operate sales and income tax, to ensure they are operating at best practice.
What You’ll Be Doing
Provide expert tax advice to the Finance leadership, including modelling of tax impacts, for all regions globally.
Ensure full compliance in tax matters as a business partner and as governance function for driving tax compliance and efficiency
Owning, developing and rolling out the global transfer pricing policy, including for Europe
Overseeing the day-to-day responsibilities for all direct tax advisory, tax strategies, and project management globally.
Serving as the key point of contact for all tax risk governance and control matters for all regions
Providing advice, review, and consultation as to the reasonableness of regional direct tax calculations outside of Europe
Serving as a point of contact for regional management, new product or business initiatives, and regional external tax advisers
What You’ll Need
Prior experience in a similar role, ideally within an international events space environment.
A proven track record in advisory and compliance across direct tax, indirect tax, international tax and transfer pricing
Strong analytical skills and a high attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with different stakeholders
