We are recruiting for an Onsite IT Engineer with deskside support, supporting windows machines and day to day support for a leading service provider on long term contract based in London
Capable of performing a wide range of deskside support activities.
first point of contact for employees at the Glasgow site
handing out hardware such as laptops, headsets, keyboards
answering questions about the IT workplace
install current Microsoft operating systems for PC’s, onto a desktop and laptop and also Mac operating Systems
load an image onto a desktop and laptop. [RTW] the majority of instance will be PXE building from the LAN
load standard software applications such as Microsoft Office or other scripted installs.
install (unpack, connect to the network and test) standard desktops, laptops, printers and peripherals.
find faults with and supporting testing of basic office environment IT related problems (connectivity, application errors, operating system issues).
replace components in both desktops and laptops (eg hard drives, processors, fans etc.). [RTW]
understand more complex desktop and laptop installations and configuration.
Troubleshooting VPN/Connectivity issues
Management of tickets in ServiceNow ITSM.
Use to managing VIP users
Skills required:
Good understanding of desktops and laptops
Good understanding of Windows & MAC operating systems
