About the role The Project Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of project delivery in connection with major system implementations within JFS including ERP. The primary focus is the planning and management of the key project activities (including Business Requirements, Design, Development, Implementation and post implementation review), management of project resources within budget, to agreed timeframes and standards. The project manager is expected to play a lead role in guiding and directing the business, particularly using their project management skills and expertise. Your key responsibilities would include: Initial 12-month focus will be on reviewing, recommending & implementing the IT strategy with the principal focus being the successful delivery of the selected ERP solution. Take the lead role in all phases of projects, ranging from production of the Business Change Request (BCR), through design, solution, build, test, cutover, implementation and go live Proactively understand the business model and organization of JFS businesses and help contribute to the production of the Business Change Request (BCR) Understand the technical/technology processes and tasks associated with the project and ongoing operation/support of the Service Produce detailed project plans and schedules for all activities, regularly monitoring and reporting progress Produce project costs & ensure all project activities and deliverables meet the agreed timescales and budget Manage & direct a multi-disciplinary team of resources to include Business Users & Third-Party suppliers, the majority of whom will be based at remote locations Proactively identify areas of risk/potential issues/problems and put plans into place to manage and control these and to achieve workable solutions Lead Business process analysis within JFS businesses Take a lead role in guidance & direction of JFS companies in the selection of ERP solutions Ensure the project deliverables are appropriate for their purpose, meet the Business Requirements and comply with Service Delivery standards Take a lead role in negotiating work orders and contracts with Third Party suppliers Take a lead role in conducting a Post Implementation Review (PIR) if this is required What do you need?
