Lead DevOps Engineer (Azure, VSTS, Microservices)

£77k-£89k p/a – 1 or 2 days per week from Central London offices, the rest remote

Our London based client have an immediate requirement for a permanent Lead DevOps Engineer to join their growing function.

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with a background of Azure & VSTS to play a critical role in the delivery of a multi year programme focusing on an online portal developed in Azure, providing online services. This role will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of application builds, releases, deployments and configurations activities, working within Agile methodologies.

Key accountabilities for the Lead DevOps Engineer (Azure, VSTS, Microservices)

• Lead on building automated pipeline for DevOps activities, managed in VSTS
• Deploy appropriate management tools to monitor health of software artefacts.
• Own creation and maintenance of product roadmap
• Manage the build and deployment of software artefacts
• Manage solution design as design authority within high level software architecture

Knowledge, skills and experience required for the Lead DevOps Engineer

• Commercial experience using VSTS (Visual Studio Team Services)
• Creating PowerShell scripts
• Developing Azure components (including Azure Resource Manager) and Service Fabric
• Working knowledge of AppInsights and/or other monitoring tools
• Configuring cloud-based DNS and Active Directory
• Experience of Confluence to manage project documentation.
• Experience of using Jira to manage assigned tasks, sprints and backlogs
• Experience of domain driven development
