My IT consultancy client provides services to clients across a range of industries throughout the United Kingdom and are looking for a lead Java developer to join a brand new team in Crawley.

Description

My Crawley based IT consultancy client is looking for a lead Java developer to identify and implement performance improvements, code optimisation’s, and automation solutions, while leading a small team of developers.

Your responsibilities will also include:

• Leading a team of Java developers, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and code reviews.
• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable Java applications.
• Participate in architectural discussions and decisions, ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards.
• Identify and implement performance improvements, code optimisation’s, and automation solutions.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to coding standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues, ensuring timely delivery of solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, time-lines, and deliverables.

Profile

To be considered for this Lead Java Developer role with my Crawley based client, the candidate must present evidence of the following:

Essential Attributes:

• Active SC (security Clearance)
• Experience of being a team lead or senior developer looking to lead their first team
• Ability to commute to the office based in Crawley, once in a while
• Amazing communication skills
• Experience building Java based applications
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.

Job Offer

Receive up to £550per day Inside IR35 on an initial 6 month contract, with the high possibility of an extension and ability to lead a brand new team of developers, while working hybrid.
