About The Role 9 month Fixed Term Contract HC-One are on a mission to be the first choice care home for Residents and Colleagues in each of the communities we serve. We are currently looking for a Learning & Development Facilitator to promote a learning culture in HC-One through mentoring, coaching and professional best practice, whilst delivering our exceptional 3x Day Classroom based Induction Programme to our new Starters. Your main responsibilities will include: This role will primarily be facilitating our 3x Day Induction Programme to new starters who are at the beginning of their Learning Journey with us at HC-One Facilitating the provision of a flexible and planned programme of workshops and coaching that is consistent, high-quality learning and development to colleagues allocated in a specific area, driving compliance, competency, skills and practice through HC-One’s bespoke e-learning management system “touchstone”. Tracking, coaching and supporting specialist in-house trainers, e.g. Safer People Handling Coaches, Falls teams, etc., highlighting to the team where there are vacancies or risks. Providing advice, support, and feedback to their RPDM (Regional People Development Manager) Home Managers and Area Directors about the suitability of New Colleagues in attendance of their Induction Training Programme. Effectively using the touchstone learning management system to record training requirements and produce reports as requested, acting in areas of need. About You Essential criteria: PTTLS or equivalent award/qualification in Education and or Training NVQ/Diploma minimum Level 3 or equivalent qualification Understanding of the care sector regulatory environment in the UK would be advantageous Training experience, preferably in a healthcare environment. Experience of communicating at a senior level. Experience of working in a highly-compliant led organisation. This role will involve extensive regular travel and overnight stays, hotel accommodation is pre-booked via our external venue bookers and mileage will be paid on a monthly basis after submittance of expenses to your RPDM (Regional People Development Manager). Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility and therefore it is important that you are able to recognise the signs which may indicate possible abuse, harm or neglect in its different forms and know what to do if there are any concerns. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training in associated areas. You also have the ability to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.
