Lecturer – Process Chemical Engineering

The Department of STEM & Construction wish to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic Process Lecturer to work with learners across SCQF levels 5 to 7.
You will be required to have relevant industrial experience and ideally teaching experience in Chemical Process/Process areas. You will have the knowledge and ability to develop and engage a range of learners in a range of relevant topics . You will be required to deliver both practical and theory based lessons in our facilities. You will also hold a relevant SVQ level 3 and HNC Chemical Process or Chemical Engineering or equivalent. You will have at least 5 years relevant industry experience post apprenticeship. While you may have not taught in a formal college environment you will ideally have delivered relevant training in the workplace.
You will work with the subject team to produce high quality learning, teaching and assessment materials and deliver excellent teaching relative to Chemical Process subject areas. You will work with others to develop new approaches to teaching, making use of learning technologies. Ensuring that the curriculum is relevant and up-to-date, you will contribute to the development of elements of provision and enhance students’ learning through providing support. You will naturally have a strong learner focus. You will also possess good knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety requirements and a sound understanding of quality standards.
