A reputable company within the FMCG manufacturing industry are looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join their dynamic, fast paced engineering team to work a Monday to Friday days-based role. As a Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the production and associated electrical equipment on site by carrying out regular routine and reactive maintenance, service and installation work when required.
As a Maintenance Engineer your day-to-day responsibilities will consist of.
Responding to reactive machinery breakdowns quickly and efficiently and ensure regular routine preventative maintenance is carried out.
Communicate unscheduled breakdowns to the Shift Supervisor and Manager and work with the operations department to minimise plant disruption.
Identifying root causes and suggesting possible improvements to prevent further breakdowns from occurring.
Participate in mechanical projects and general repairs when required.
Plan and coordinate auditing systems to ensure compliance on site within an engineering discipline.
Ensure all activities are carried out within company and legislative health and safety and environmental guidelines reporting any issues.
Follow the communicated escalation route for unscheduled plant downtime and minimise downtime by following a good engineering practice.
An exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer with the following.
Apprenticeship in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
HNC/HND Desirable.
Experienced working within a fast-paced plant manufacturing environment.
IEE 17th or 18th edition desirable.
