Maintenance Surveyor

Our client who provides 35,000 homes to over 100,000 tenants in the Somerset area is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Surveyor on a permanent basis. The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. Our client has provided a salary of up to £42,000 per annum based on experience. The ideal candidate will have experience working within social housing and have experience carrying out maintenance surveys on domestic properties.Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Carrying out reactive maintenance surveys within domestic properties across the Somerset region, including traditional build, terraced houses and flats
• Providing advice and solutions where an initial fix may not be appropriate
• Investigating technical defects and disrepair cases, and provide written Housing Condition Reports as necessary
• Obtaining quotes for repairs from specialist sub-contractors as necessary
• Playing an active role in disabled facilities works, including post inspections
• Carrying out disrepair surveys and support the legal department with claims

Experience required:

• HND / HNC level in Building Surveying or equivalent construction related qualification

Working hours:

• 37 hours per week
• Monday – Friday (Flexible Daily Hours)
