Based in the North-East, this company offers excellent progression opportunities, hybrid working, and an excellent culture.The RoleThe Management Accountant duties will include:

• Work closely with the Commercial Finance Manager to aid both forecast accuracy and communication of variances vs actuals
• Maintain control of the regional Balance Sheet
• Proactively identify potential P&L mitigation areas
• Show an organised approach, identifying any potential P&L variances as soon as possible to allow the business to react accordingly
• Full ownership of monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations, ensuring all provisions are sufficient to meet business needs.
• Strive to understand (and subsequently analyse) charges in the regional business units
• Full ownership and control of non-factory stock reconciliations and landed cost recoveries
• Assist in the preparation of year end statutory account files for statutory audit purposes and consolidation, and assist in preparation of tax computations
• Monthly VAT returns

The PersonThe requirements for the Management Accountant role are:

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
• Strong communicator at all levels
• Team player
• A self-starter by nature with a positive, resilient ‘can do’ attitude
• Strong knowledge of Excel
