Mathematics Teacher (Secondary)

Are you a passionate and dedicated Mathematics Teacher seeking an exciting opportunity to inspire and educate students? We are currently seeking a talented and enthusiastic Mathematics Teacher to join a dynamic faculty at a Sidcup based school.

The role is within a well-established and highly respected secondary school known for its commitment to academic excellence and student development.

Job Responsibilities: As a Mathematics Teacher you will have the following responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and well-structured mathematics lessons to students in accordance with the curriculum guidelines.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and collaboration.
• Utilize a range of teaching strategies and resources to cater to students’ individual learning styles and abilities.
• Assess student progress through regular formative and summative assessments and provide constructive feedback.
• Plan and implement effective strategies to support students who may require additional assistance or challenge.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine the mathematics curriculum, ensuring alignment with educational standards and objectives.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, achievement, and behaviour, and communicate regularly with parents/guardians.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching skills and stay updated with the latest educational practices.

Specifics

Start: September start

Duration: 1 Year fixed academic term contract with possibility for extension

Salary: M1-UPS3 dependent on experience

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or a related field (a postgraduate qualification in education is desirable).
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification where viable.
• Proven experience teaching mathematics at the secondary level, demonstrating excellent subject knowledge.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students, parents, and colleagues effectively.
• Passion for mathematics education and a commitment to fostering a love for the subject in students.
• Ability to differentiate instruction and provide personalized support to meet the diverse needs of learners.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
