Penguin Recruitment is pleased to present a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Town Planner in the London area. My client is a UK leading Commercial Real Estate Consultancy who is currently looking to recruit a qualified Town Planner to their dynamic and forward-thinking team.
My client is active throughout the UK, working across the residential, industrial, logistics, hotel, retail, office, education, and institutional sectors. The team have a track record of success in delivering planning permissions for their clients, which range from complex city-centre schemes to strategic greenfield developments.
The Role
The role will be to undertake planning appraisals to advise clients on the likelihood and best strategy to achieve planning consent. Some of the duties will include the following:
Identify and make representations on behalf of clients in the review of local development frameworks.
To research, prepare and submit planning applications.
to research and prepare use need assessments in support of planning applications.
To research, prepare and submit appeals against refusals of planning consent.
To research and assist in the preparation of proofs of evidence for senior staff standing as expert witness at planning inquiries.
To help write tender proposals to win new project work.
To help with business generation ideas and client research.
Candidate Requirements
We are seeking applicants that have previous experience in a Planning related position either public or private sector. The successful candidate will have an RTPI accredited degree in Town Planning or a related field of study, and ideally be MRTPI chartered or in pursuit of the APC. Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills essential, as well as time management and organisation skills!
