My client is currently looking for a Paraplanner Team Leader to join their growing team. This individual will ensure within their team, that service levels are met, and staff training and development needs are identified and addressed. Provide paraplanning support function to planners. Focus on team performance and goals, whilst maintaining excellent client service.
The ideal candidate will work from their Barnstaple office but with the ability to work from home.
The successful Paraplanner Team Leader will be offered:

To be considered for the Paraplanner Team Leader role you must have the following:
Excellent understanding of the financial planning process.
Good technical knowledge in a wide range of product areas – pensions, investments, IHT planning, tax planning, and protection.
Excellent suitability report writing skills.
Keep up to date with new product, technical and legislative changes within the marketplace.
Experience in team management is desired but not essential
Experience using client cash-flow modelling software is preferable
Have achieved Diploma in Financial Planning or equivalent
Consent to, and have clear results for police checks, bankruptcy searches and any other background screening that is required for this position.
As a Paraplanner Team Leader, your role will involve:
Team Leadership:
Liaise with Planners within a team to prioritise work and meet team targets
Organise and prioritise work within the team
Distribute work to the team, liaising with other team Leaders accordingly.
Conduct regular 1:1’s with team members rolling into performance reviews
Ensure that team members meet defined service levels
Train new members of the team and maintain training and development logs
Identify any trends or potential issues and problem solve
Liaise with Paraplanning Manager to ensure that the team is sufficiently staffed
Assist in the recruitment of new members of the team
To continually review processes to identify & implement improvements
Engage in project work to assist Paraplanning Manager to improve department efficiencies and compliance
Paraplanning:
Prepare and maintain client files and client reviews
Build cash flow models
Prepare recommendations and suitability reports
Identify areas for planning
Oversee implementation of recommendations, completion of application forms and ensure all compliance is in order
Establish and build strong relationships with clients
