Part-Time Receptionist Shift Work

As a Receptionist, you know first impressions matter. You’ll be a friendly face with a welcoming personality as you greet staff, visitors and service users to Rhodes Wood Hospital.

Working 20 hours a week you will provide a welcoming, helpful, and proactive reception service for the site. You will ensure that all visitors to the site are greeted in a professional and polite manner and that the hospital staff are made aware when visitors have arrived.

In this role, you will provide administration support to managers, employees and service users whilst driving best practice and ensuring compliance with company policy and procedures.

Your responsibilities will include:

• To be the first point of contact for visitors at reception, answer inbound calls promptly and professionally transferring calls to the relevant staff or taking messages, if required and passing these along to the relevant staff in an efficient and timely manner.
• To ensure that all visitors to Rhodes Wood Hospital sign in to meet the requirements of health & safety and are provided with visitors passes, so they can be identified as visitors to the hospital. To ensure that visitors leaving site have signed out so that hospital staff are aware they are no longer on site.
• To ensure that all keys and alarms are allocated and signed out to staff and signed back in at the end of shift / visit. That the key management paperwork is accurately completed so that key management can be evidenced for regulatory purposes.
• To conduct key counts so the Hospital is assured that all keys are on site. To complete radio response checks daily to ensure that compliance with radios is adhered to.
• To deal with any incoming post to the service ensuring this is disseminated to the relevant persons, without delay.
• To alert the wards to any medication deliveries and request that these be collected promptly.
• To ensure that alarms are charged once they are returned to reception and that all keys and alarms are wiped down in line with infection control processes.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

• Confidently able to use a computer and Microsoft Office
• GCSE English Language Grade C or above.
• Display awareness of understanding confidentiality and security.
