A fantastic and immediate vacancy for an experienced PCB Rework Technician to join a leading Electronics Manufacturer based near Reading.

Job Description:

Our client are a small, successful Electronics Manufacturer and due to company growth they are currently seeking to employ an experienced PCB Rework Technician on a permanent basis. As PCB Rework Technician you will undertake daily rework & modification tasks to IPC 7711 standard.

Key Responsibilities:

To modify and rework PCB boards where required

Undertake repairs on returned assemblies and complete evaluation reports

Record information against the work undertaken where required

Undertake the daily rework tasks to keep production on schedule

Report feedback to the Quality Department regarding trends in various rework

Maintain good housekeeping abilities

X-ray as required

BGA replacement

Working Hours:

Mon – Thurs: 8:00am – 16:30pm

Fri: 8am – 13:30pm

Person Specification:

Previous experience within PCB Rework

Good knowledge of SMT/PTH assembly – essential

Qualification/understanding of IPC771 – qualification preferred but not essential

Qualification/understanding of IPC610 – qualification preferred but not essential

Computer literacy, able to use MS office – essential

Experience and understanding of AOI machines and how they function – preferred but not essential

Previous competent experience with rework, removing/replacing devices from 0201 to BGA/QFP – essential

Ability to work to deadlines

Salary £24,000 – £30,000 depending on experience
