We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Physicist to join an ambitious, innovative, technology & product development company who deliver solutions for the UK’s defence and homeland security, where you could be at the forefront of this innovation race by helping to defend and protect the UK from the latest technological and cyber threats. The company are in an exciting period, working on state-of-the-art technology and developing new client relationships.

As a Physicist, you’ll get to explore pioneering concepts by collaborating with elite multi-disciplinary teams of highly educated and skilled scientists, engineers, and designers. It’s a fantastically challenging, varied, and agile role.

You’ll see ideas become a reality through the development of prototypes using a rapid approach to design and implementation. This will involve all aspects of technology and product development – from invention, analysis, and computational modelling through to prototype design and the transfer to manufacturing.

If you have an insatiable curiosity and demonstrable skills in applying fundamental physics to real-world scenarios, you will thrive. You will be kept busy generating theoretical models and collecting empirical evidence through research, modelling and hands-on experimentation.

Physicist – Essential Skills and Qualifications:

• A first-class BSc/BEng, MSc/MEng, PhD or equivalent in a Physics, Science or Mathematics subject
• Eligibility for UK security clearance.
• Working knowledge of Python and current ML frameworks, such as Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras or PyTorch, would be beneficial but this is not necessary as further development will be provided.
• An interest in Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning is desirable, but further development can be provided.
